Family Health Centers of San Diego - Family Medicine Residency
FHCSD's HIV Medicine track provides a longitudinal experience in outpatient management of HIV infection with the goal of realizing competence that allows graduates to incorporate HIV Medicine as a portion of their Primary Care practice. Beginning in their PGY-2 year, Family Medicine residents participate in a supervised continuity clinic in which they will develop a small panel of patients living with HIV. Mentorship is provided by an Infectious Diseases board-certified physician and learning is supplemented with online resources (www.hiv.uw.edu, www.hepatitisc.uw.edu) and participation in the biweekly telehealth program of the Pacific AETC, the HIV learning Network.
