HIVMA Chair Applauds Appointment of Robyn Neblett Fanfair, MD, MPH, as Director of HIV Prevention at CDC 

HIVMA is excited to congratulate Robyn Neblett Fanfair, MD, MPH, on her appointment as the permanent director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Division of HIV Prevention. Dr. Neblett Fanfair, a captain in the U.S. Public Health Service who has led the division as acting director since August 2022, brings to the position a strong track record of experience within CDC coupled with front-line experience as an HIV prevention researcher, clinician and public health practitioner in Baltimore. Her leadership is welcome and urgently needed to address HIV-related health inequities by advancing the federal Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative and a national PrEP program.
